Summary:

Our Client’s Technology Services department is seeking a Senior Analytics Analyst who is passionate about data trends to increase profits and operational efficiency.  Reporting to the Director of Analytics, this position is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to define data/analytical needs and support delivery of data visualization through cloud-based technology.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design and showcase dashboards and reports sourced from the data warehouse and deliver through an appropriate technology, primarily in Analytics software.
  • Participate in special projects as these opportunities present themselves.
  • Collaborate with business lines (Sales, Finance, Real Estate, Shared Service) to define reporting requirements and key performance metrics.
  • Demonstrate consistent ability to creatively look at sales, finance, and operational data, defining new ways to derive insights from internal and external data sources.
  • Assist data warehouse team in the design of data structures and data extracts to support comprehensive data collection, loading, and extraction for complex analyses.
  • Identify data quality issues impacting reporting and coordinate with peer development teams changes to source systems to facilitate data cleansing.
  • Determine opportunities for data transformation during the ETL phase of data sourcing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years previous experience with analytics cloud technology solutions.
  • Oracle Business Intelligence experience (OBIEE, BICS, OAC) preferred.
  • Strong skills with tools like OAC, Tableau or Power BI to create dashboards that tell stories with visualizations.
  • Must be analytic, creative and self-motivated.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and technology team.
  • Knowledge in setting up and maintaining analytics solutions.
  • Strong ability to solve analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
  • Ability to balance between data needs and requirements for action.
  • Experience with Oracle SQL tools (Toad, SQL Developer) a plus.

Location:  Candidate will be onsite either in Southern CT or NYC office.
