Job Description
Our client is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide fast and accurate technical assistance for company end-users. This position interfaces with all departments within the organization and will be responsible for front line technical support. The position will be a part of the Information Technology team. He/she should have very strong technical skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills. In addition, organization/project management skills, as well as the ability to multitask, and work in a fast paced, team driven environment are very important.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist users to resolve their IT issues
- Laptop setups
- Install / Configure software and/or hardware for users
- Setup/Configure/Troubleshoot client VPN
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Office 365 application issues
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (wired LAN or WiFi)
- Troubleshoot printer/scanner issues
- Maintain network printers and supplies
- Troubleshoot Windows issues
- Troubleshoot web/video conferencing (Teams and Zoom)
- Troubleshooting AV issues in onsite conference rooms (Polycom hardware)
- New user orientation and training
- System inventory maintenance and procurement
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders to understand corporate priorities
- On call after-hours technical support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years desktop support experience
- Strong knowledge of Teamsoom to support individual use and conference room-based meetings
- Knowledge Azure Active Directory a plus
- Ability to collaborate closely with senior executives and administrative support staff
- Excellent collaboration skills as well as written communication skills
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows 10 operating system
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Experience working with Mobile Device Management, Microsoft Endpoint Manager a plus
- Ability to provide detailed one on one training or in a group setting
- Experience providing support to an executive team preferred
- Experience in Biotech/Pharma IT support a plus
- Proven adaptability to shifting priorities and assignments; able to make effective decisions under pressure
- Demonstrated problem-solver with the ability to cope under pressure and coordinate multiple activities in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
