At the direction of the Manager, the Project Manager, proactively plans, directs, and manages the activities of designated project(s) to ensure that goals or objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters using the Client IT PMO methodology.  This is a 50% remote and 50% onsite position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage and execute Project(s) using Smartsheet and SharePoint working with virtual onsite/remote teams.
  • Develop and design Project sites using SharePoint.  Perform SharePoint project administrative tasks as it relates to project requirements.
  • Contribute to updating and maintaining the IS PMO Project Methodology & Training material.
  • Provide how to support for basic Smartsheet and SharePoint functions needed for the project.
  • Communicate proactively.  Apply effective verbal and written communication skills to facilitate mutual understanding across teams.  Present information effectively in small and medium group settings.
  • Facilitate meetings and communications with project team to create/update project charters, scope management, issues, risks, decisions and develop project plans and communication plans to assign duties, responsibilities according to scope of authority based on the roles and responsibilities define in Client Methodology.
  • Demonstrate working proactively and having self-direction by managing assigned small to medium projects from inception through completion including developing, executing, and monitoring work plan overseen by Sr. PM/Mgr.
  • Independently manage individual workload.  Exercise initiative to learn new skills to improve performance and efficiency for Project management support.
  • Understand complex and varied processes or multiple department’s needs as well as the basics of health care industry.
  • Assist and coach peers.  Demonstrate initiative through active and appropriate participation as well as the ability and willingness to assume more responsibilities.
  • Work closely with the IT Leadership and teams, IT PMO Manager and other PM’s to perform project financial and resource management for their assigned projects.
  • Create Risk assessment and mitigation log under the direction of a Sr. PM or director for assigned projects.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant PM experience required and, or 4 years of IT experience.  PMP certification will be required within 1 year, or reasonable timeframe if not certified when hired.  Demonstrated ability to work independently and on teams desired.  Must be self-directed, flexible, and have excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
