Salesforce Business Analyst

Summary

Our Client is a global leader in the design, development and distribution of extrusion and converting technology. Our IT team has an immediate opening for a Salesforce Business Analyst. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for delivering Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud technology and will be part of the IT PMO group and report to the Director of IT PMO.  The Business Analyst (BA) role is to help drive the planning & design, as well as assist in the development and launch of Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud. This includes performing activities such as requirement definition, research, analysis, coordination, development of Epics/User Stories, testing, training and documentation.  The Business Analyst will also maintain an understanding of business processes and related systems for supported business units; participates in management of stakeholder expectations, collaborates with business partners to define and document business and functional requirements and works with technical staff to develop solution alternatives.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work in partnership with the Salesforce Project Manager to collaborate and support the needs of the program
  • Support discovery sessions to help produce strategic roadmaps and product backlogs
  • Work with team members to gather, understand and define business requirements through interviews, workshops and/or existing systems documentation, workflows or procedures
  • Perform detailed analysis resulting in clear, concise and unambiguous system requirements
  • Document detailed use cases that cover all alternate and exception flows, supplementing use cases with real world scenarios 
  • Provide detailed analysis of processes and workflows with suggestions for improvement.  Identify areas where technology can lead to increased efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure requirements are understood, agreed to and signed off at the appropriate stages in a project
  • Develop Epics, User Stories, Tasks and to-be process flows to support the design and development of Salesforce solutions, using JIRA
  • Assist with creation and review of UI mock-ups. Engage in design discussions and identify design options
  • Collaborate with external developers to test and verify that solutions will meet the business requirements
  • Participate in key meetings, conduct system demos, and various levels of testing (i.e., system, regression, integration, UAT)
  • Develop test scenarios/cases, reviews testing plans, tracks and documents the development and results of these plans
  • Participate in the development of training, implementation and support of system requirements
  • Provide user documentation for system (i.e., training materials)
  • Alert Salesforce Project Manager to potential risks and issues of importance

Qualifications:

  • Experience using Salesforce to develop client or business solutions
  • Experience on a Salesforce implementation through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience soliciting, gathering, and analyzing user input and requirements
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders at various levels and ability to build strong relationships
  • Proven ability leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast paced environment
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly ramp up, assess business needs, and technologies
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills to make efficient, logical decisions in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience working with various methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid
  • Experience documenting user Epics, User Stories and creating process flow diagrams
  • Experience developing test strategies and plans, using widely accepted test methodologies and frameworks and proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability working with stakeholders to drive Salesforce adoption
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and functional skill sets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, and JIRA

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or relevant field
  • Business Systems Analyst Certification a plus
  • 2 to 3 years of business analysis experience in Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Change Management experience in regards to user communication and adoption
  • PMP Certification represents Project Management Professionals Certification, which includes PMP, ACP, PgMP, and NPDP. This certificate is provided by the PMI (Project Management Association) that is recognized as a professional standard in the project management industry.
